Booking & Reservations
How do I book a dive charter in Jupiter, Florida?
You can book directly through our website or by contacting us via phone or email. Online booking is the fastest way to secure your spot.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy in order to receive a refund - any cancellations made within 48 hours of your dive charter departure will not be refunded.
What happens if the trip is canceled due to weather or ocean conditions?
Safety always comes first. If we cancel due to weather or unsafe conditions, you will be offered a reschedule or a full refund.
Can I book a private dive charter in Jupiter?
Yes! Private charters are available and are a great option for groups, families, or special occasions. Contact us for pricing and availability.
Location & Check-In
Where is the boat located?
We depart from Castaways Marina at the Square Grouper Tiki Bar in Jupiter, Florida. You can drop your gear off at the front entrance (a crew member will take it to the boat for you!) and parking is in the public lot on Love Street.
What time should I arrive before departure?
Please arrive AT LEAST 30 minutes before departure time to allow for check-in, gear setup, and briefing.
Is parking available at the marina?
Yes, there is a free parking lot on Love Street, a very short walk from the marina.
What time do trips return to the dock?
Return times vary based on conditions and dive profiles, but most trips return within 4–5 hours.
Certification & Experience Requirements
Do I need to be scuba certified to dive?
Yes, all divers must hold a valid scuba certification from a recognized training agency.
What certification level is required for Jupiter dives?
An Open Water certification is required. Some deeper sites may require Advanced Open Water or equivalent experience.
How recent does my last dive need to be?
If you haven’t dived in the past 12 months, we strongly recommend a refresher or hiring a private dive guide, which we can schedule for you. Safety and comfort are important to us.
Are advanced certifications required for deeper Jupiter dive sites?
Yes, certain wrecks and deeper reefs require advanced certification or proof of equivalent experience.
Dive Sites & Conditions
What dive sites do you visit in Jupiter?
We dive a variety of local reefs and wrecks known for healthy reefs and incredible marine life.
Are Jupiter dives drift dives?
Yes, all dives in Jupiter are drift dives, which means the boat follows the divers for easy pickups.
How deep are the dives?
Depths typically range from 60 to 100+ feet, depending on the site and diver certification.
How long are the dives?
Dive time depends on air consumption, depth, and conditions, but typically ranges from 30–60 minutes.
Will there be a dive guide in the water?
A guide will be in the water the entire dive, but if you run low on air or bottom time before the guide, you may have to surface without the dive guide.
Marine Life
What marine life can we expect to see in Jupiter?
Jupiter is famous for sharks, turtles, rays, Goliath grouper, reef fish, and seasonal pelagic species.
Is Jupiter good for seeing sharks?
Yes! Jupiter is one of Florida’s top destinations for seeing multiple shark species year-round. We see different types throughout the year including: Nurse, Lemon, Bull, Tiger, Hammerhead (Great, Scalloped & Smooth), Silky, Sandbar, Dusky, Caribbean Reef and more!
When is Goliath grouper season?
Goliath grouper aggregation typically occurs from August through October, though there is a chance to see Goliaths year-round.
When is the best time to see sea turtles?
You can see sea turtles year-round in Jupiter’s waters, but your chances are highest from March through October—especially during late spring and summer when turtle activity peaks. We have 5 out of the 6 sea turtles species here in Jupiter: Loggerhead, Hawksbill, Green, Leatherback and Kemp's Ridley.
Equipment & Rentals
Is scuba gear included in the price?
Scuba gear is not included. Rental gear is available for an additional fee.
What rental equipment is available?
We will be updating rental equipment information soon. Please check back here or our Rates section for updates.
Are tanks and weights included?
Tanks are an additional fee, but weights are included.
Do you offer Nitrox?
Nitrox is available for certified divers. Proof of Nitrox certification is required.
Safety & Crew
Is your crew licensed, insured, and experienced?
Yes, our captain and crew are fully licensed, insured, and experienced in Jupiter diving conditions.
What safety equipment is onboard?
Our boat is equipped with oxygen, first aid, emergency communication devices, and all required safety gear.
How many guests do you take on the boat?
We are Coast Guard-rated to carry 19 passengers; however, we take max. 15 guests to ensure safety and comfort.
What to Bring
What should I bring on the dive boat?
Bring your certification card, ID, dive gear, towel, sunscreen (reef-safe please!), and any personal items.
Is drinking water provided?
Yes, drinking water is provided onboard. We have cups, but we prefer if you bring a reusable water bottle.
Can I bring snacks or a cooler?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring snacks and drinks. Please avoid glass containers.
Is sunscreen allowed onboard?
Yes, please use reef-safe sunscreen whenever possible.
Pricing & Payments
What is included in the dive price?
Your dive price includes boat charter, weights, water, snacks and professional crew services.
Are there any additional fees?
Additional fees may apply for gear, tanks, or private dive guides.
Are tips included or expected?
Gratuities are not included but are always appreciated for great service. Our crew works for tips.
Policies
What is your late arrival policy?
Late arrivals may forfeit their spot without refund, as we depart on time.
What is your no-show policy?
No-shows are non-refundable.
Is alcohol allowed onboard?
Alcohol is strictly prohibited before and during dives.
Can minors dive on your charters?
Yes, minors may dive with proper certification and a parent or guardian present.
Is smoking allowed on the boat?
Smoking and vaping are not permitted onboard.
